How to make 2020 secured property taxes payments

The deadline to make the first installment of secured annual property taxes is Dec. 10. The Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Office strongly encourages taxpayers to make payment online, over the phone or through the mail.

Owners who need to pay their property taxes in person without an appointment this week will be able to do so only at the County Administrative Center, located at 4080 Lemon Street in downtown Riverside.  Social distancing and safety guidelines will be observed, which may cause extended wait times.  

Cash payments will not be accepted in person at any location and can only be made through a drop box located in the lobby of the County Administrative Center. Taxpayers may visit the Temecula and Palm Desert offices by appointment only.  

Payments made by phone at (951) 955-3900 or online at www.countytreasurer.org can be made 24 hours a day, until midnight on Dec. 10. Payments made by debit or credit card will incur a convenience fee. Payments made online using the electronic check option will not charge. Tax payments received by mail will be honored as timely if postmarked on or before Dec. 10.
