Vaccine clinics closing in Riverside and Lake Elsinore as health officials continue focus on mobile teams

Riverside Sears clinic to move to new location

Vaccine clinics located in the former Riverside Sears and Outlets at Lake Elsinore are closing, although the Riverside team will be moved to a new venue.

The clinics are both operated by Curative.

The Riverside location is closing today (July 30), while the Lake Elsinore clinic will be closing tomorrow (July 31). The new Riverside location will be announced as soon as final details can be worked out.

“These locations have provided a critically needed service that has benefitted the community,” said Kim Saruwatari, director of Riverside County Public Health. “Their efforts have saved lives.”

Riverside County health officials have focused recent vaccine efforts using several mobile vaccine teams, rather than using fixed locations to administer vaccines.  Officials have said the mobile teams provide the flexibility that enables Public Health to focus on individual communities or neighborhoods, then move quickly to other areas where there is a need.

More than 2.4 million vaccine doses have been administered in Riverside County between the county operated clinics and those run by the community partners. For more information on clinic locations or to make an appointment, click www.rivcoph.org/covid-19-vaccine or call 951-358-5000.
