Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of the county, certain special districts, the Planning Commission and the Housing Authority. The Board sets public policy within the county. To that end, the Board enacts ordinances and resolutions, adopts the annual budget, approves agreements and purchasing contracts, conducts reviews of critical matters, determines land use zoning for unincorporated areas, and appoints certain county officers and members to various boards and commissions.
