Where We Stand

The annual legislative platform serves as a guideline for the county’s advocacy efforts led through the Executive Office and in cooperation with county agencies, departments and legislative advocates.

This 2023-24 platform is more than merely a declaration of initiatives. It is meant to be a statement of principles to guide our mutual efforts to develop policies, improve processes and build partnerships that seek to identify and implement solutions to the challenges our community faces.

To improve the quality of life for all those who live, work and enjoy life in Riverside County, the County will advocate for full funding that meets the needs of Riverside County’s growing and diverse communities, for policies and initiatives that enhance local discretion in delivering services and resources and for removing barriers that limit the County’s ability to innovate and focus on constituent-centered service delivery.

It is our intention that this collection of policy pillars and legislative priorities, taken in conjunction with the strategies we implement to realize them, will serve as a roadmap for our region.
